Torchy's Tacos started in 2006 with a mobile trailer, a little red Vespa, and a man with a passion for good food. The founder, Mike Rypka, left an executive chef position to chase his dreams by investing everything he had into Torchy's Tacos. With a new, experimental menu ready to serve but no mouths to feed, Rypka jumped on his Vespa and started throwing out samples in an attempt to draw customers to his trailer. This is our one of our first stops in our trip across Texas and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by Nissa and she was more than amazing. She told us about how torchys got started and also recommended great food she gave us the full experience and it was great. If you never tried torchys you definitely should and you should come meet Nissa because she really is amazing. The breakfast is great try the Grande Burrito! What can I say. First of all we were greeted so warmly by miss nissa. Being our first visit she walked us through the menu and the history of the restaurant. It was lovely, but once we got our food. First the chips and queso. Then our breakfast tacos. Which I had first thought it was going to be small. Well I was mistaken. So filling. And she was kind to check on us making sure we were enjoying our food. It was an amazing first time experience. The only appropriate words to describe my full experience is. Damn good.
Vivian was super kind and patient while taking our rather large order. She was a delight to order from. The entire staff was so friendly and willing to get whatever we needed at a moments notice. 5 stars all around!
