Torchy's Tacos started in 2006 with a mobile trailer, a little red Vespa, and a man with a passion for good food. The founder, Mike Rypka, left an executive chef position to chase his dreams by investing everything he had into Torchy's Tacos. I bought 3 tacos and a drink for just shy of 25$ They weren't bad per se but they definitely weren't good and far below my expectations for the price. At least their tea was good. Definitely not worth a return trip.

Okay, so here's the deal. First time I tried Torchy's Tacos, I was sick the whole night throwing up. I thought I had become sick from not the food, but just a virus or stomach bug. Today though, I ordered the same order from before, because truly, I did enjoy it last time. I got the Grande Chicken Burrito, and with my second bite, the chicken felt too chewy, and slimy. The chicken in my burrito wasn't even cooked all the way! I'm now certain this is why last time I got sick and was throwing up. It was probably the same issue... read more
