We had such a lovely day at Fort De Soto Beach. It was great to be able to rent chairs and an umbrella, and everyone was so cordial, both the employees and the other guests.
This is still a good option for putting in a personal kayak and exploring the island. Plenty of parking and a sand beach to launch from. Watch out for manatee.
We visited in September and had a great time. We rented a two person kayak and had plenty of space for us, a small cooler and a dry bag. We spent about two hours paddling around, saw a dolphin, lots of fish, and went beyond the loop on the map. The staff were very friendly and it was an easy and fun outing.
Genial. Une super ballade sur notre kayak tandem, nous avons vu des lamentins et des oiseaux. C'est agréable de naviguer à cet endroit, c'est paisible et rafraichissant. L'accueil et le service était top.
Had an amazing time! Staff was very friendly and water trail was nice! We saw manatees, a bunch of fish and these cute birds that kept following us. They are dog friendly too! Highly recommend!! We will be coming back soon!
