Topolobampo is a standout in River North. I went for the taco tasting menu—yes, tacos, but elevated. The wagyu suadero taco with bone marrow was unreal, and the El Zarandeado walleye with king crab was a flavor bomb. They started us with a mini sopa azteca and ended with Mexican cookies and hot chocolate mix to take home. Dropped about $230 with a mezcal pairing. Service was warm, not stuffy.
