Room was very dated. Trip advisor states all rooms have recently been refurbished, I couldn't see evidence of this in the room we had . I thought the published photographs did not truly reflect our rooms condition. The final nail in the coffin was when a cockroach walked from the bedroom into the front room. Not a big one (a walk in) but a small one and where there's one there are usually more. When I told the manager she shrugged and said this is Queenland, we get cockroaches. Since 2022 we have stayed here more than 30 times from 1night to 4 nights. Usually in room 17, or 19. The rooms are bigger, more private. We think that staying here is value for money, better service, cleaner rooms, fresh milk, not frugal on tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, big fluffy bath sheets, comfortable beds.It's close to the sunshine plaza, restaurants, bar, and the club house, which is a simulated golf outfit. Nice friendly service. Room we had was incredible. Neat, tidy and clean and had everything you needed.
I love these old style motels. So convenient to work right out the front of your room and walk just a couple of steps to your door. You can keep an eye on your car overnight as it’s parked right outside your window. Room was clean, spacious and had tea coffee toaster the and the usual bits and bobs. Communication around check in procedures was clear. Cannot beat this location!
