I’ve lived here for just over 6 months the now and feel like I can share my honest review. The cons of my review do not speak to the complex itself but my fellow residents. Let’s start with the pros: they are very nice apartments for the current rates they are offering which I was so happy for as I wanted to live in Melrose for a while and it’s one of the nicest complexes in the area. It’s not a very old building so while not “renovated” they chose nice finishes that have worked to stay stylish! There are full size washer an... read more
Beautiful complex, slightly expensive for the area. The inside of the apartments are nice so is the exterior but step outside the gates and you’re met with junkies and transients. Not the complexes fault, the whole stretch of neighborhood on the 7th Avenue stretch. Staff were nice. Clean complex.
Consistent issues with elevators and gates being non operational. And yes some faceless corporate type will give a long winded explanation of why. But just know this has been Consistently happening over the last 3 years after AMC took over They literally give us the same excuse every 2 weeks. Seems like they are using low budget vendors to fix major issues.
Beware! Before you decide to move in please know you must have current car tags or they will tow you . It’s bad enough the rent is super high, the place is really run down in the last few years, carpets are stained and the elevator you gotta share with the trash bins .
1/3 of the elevators have been out of commission for multipul weeks, (hopefully you are not disabled as that creates an undo burden) gates are constantly non operational, fire pit has been borke for years, lighting fixtures in the halls hanging by wires. Gym is bare bones. Minimal weights. All while chagring every resident 50$ in "cam fees" each month: over 120,000 a year combined. When PB Bell manage the complex everything was tip top. Since AMC took over 5 years ago, the place is literally falling apart.
