After having Jeff Hayes schedule a home inspection for my new home purchase he sent out Kevin as my inspector to inspect our new home. Kevin failed to go in the crawl space and document the damages that were existing in the crawl space that I as a customer was very easily able to access after the sale of the home. Hi Jeff, I have ran into a terrible issue with the new house we purchased where you sent in a professional inspector to inspect the home for our family. It seems as though the inspector Kevin H******* missed extremely important and noticeable to a professional eye damages that have turned into a very serious problem. Where do we begin?! We had a very negative experience with Top Notch Home Inspection. Something very major was missed in our inspection due to a very unprofessional inspector. The owner Jeff H**** was contacted and was informed of the issue just months after the inspection. At first Jeff was unwilling to come out and see what his inspector missed. On 4/20/17 I had a pre-purchase inspection completed by Top Notch. There were several items that I had to point out to the inspector that he missed. Additionally, an area that I had brought up as a concern to the inspector and was reassured was "not a problem" was later determined to be a major leak around the sliding glass door. Total cost of the repair to me post closing is in excess of $5,000 for dry rot, siding repair, subfloor repair, and removal of faulty door.
