In 2005 our builder contracted Top Hat to installed two gas fireplaces in new home one of the fireplaces the pilot light wouldn’t stay on and the other fireplace was fine, the builder then called top hat back to fix the fireplace, it was never resolved. Their communication and scheduling is terrible. I do think that their work quality is good, as well as thier product selection and pricing. I will not use them again.

Not upfront about what they charge. Asked them to come out and give us a quote for replacing a chimney cap. After the inspection, the guy demands almost $200 from us stating that is the cost for them to just come out to do the inspection. He, nor the woman we talked to on the phone to set up the appointment, made us aware of this. Definitely won’t be using them to replace the chimney cap.
