I did not go through with a home equity loan, however I wanted to make everyone aware of the fees. I was quoted $29,000 for closing cost on a $39,000 equity loan. How is that even possible. Seems really sketchy to me. Be aware.
I highly recommend Bob and Kathy Muni. I just closed a transaction with my sellers, and the Munis' were the buyers' lender. It was a reverse mortgage and a very smooth closing. I will be working on a project with them to help other people use the reverse mortgage loan product to their benifit.
