I have been to Cave Cuvee in 2023 it was really great. I went again 2 weeks ago and it felt very tired and forgotten about. Nothing had really been updated since last time and it needed a lick of paint and a bit of care. It still had Beaujolais 2024 pictures on the wall, the streamers over the door had been ripped off and the bathroom felt uncared for. Went on a Tuesday night because the bookings looked totally free. Suddenly they tell us downstairs is having an “event” and shove us upstairs, where there aren’t even proper tables, just shelves with random chairs. And even though it’s dark as hell up there, they can’t be bothered to give us a single candle. What a spot! Cocktails are amazing and the happy hour deal is fab! Really recommend the orange wine margarita and the vermouth soda. Also had the house white wine but it wasn’t very nice.
