Great service! Went there for the first time and had the best service . Had this Asian chick take my order and man is she a beauty!! I will be back:)
Greenie is good...thats about it Tony Jaros is a dirty bar with a delicious drink called the Greenie. Try to go to the bathroom at the previous bar if you can. The servers are typically pretty good, but there was one jerk that I dealt with there that was put off by me trying to order a drink with a credit card. He rudely said "we only take cash" and walked away from me. Either way, I still go back to Jaros for Greenies because they are so delicious. Without the Greenie, they would fold.

Go for the Greenie! I would definitely put this on anyone's list of things to do while in Minneapolis. It has a great northeast feel and you have to order a greenie! They even sell the mix so that you can make your own! It is a small bar and packed on weekends so I would go during the week if you want to be able to sit and enjoy company.
SPELL IT (AND SAY IT) CORRECTLY, PLEASE!! – I'm a life long northeast boy... please stop saying and spelling it "Jaro's" (pronouncing it "Jar-ohs") it's Jaros'!! (pronounced "Jare-us's") it still baffles me how most people mispronounce it and insist that they're saying it the right way when I (or someone else) corrects them.
HOME OF THE GREENIE Legendary bar off lowry and marshall in northeast minneapolis,they make a very strong drink called the greenie and pinkie. Dont know whats in it,but it is very strong.about 2-3 will get you bombed,so be careful.
Popular Northeast Minneapolis pub named for the basketball great and former owner. – In Short Bearing the name of a onetime basketball hero (and former owner), the narrow pub can be quite claustrophobic. It's packed almost nightly with a youngish crowd, most of them imbibing the sweet lime-and-vodka concoction, "Greenie." Proudly displayed on the walls are a collection of photographs from Jaro's NBA days, when the Lakers were based in Minneapolis, back in the late '40s and early '50s.
OMG, I love it!! – This NE bar is fun and across from Psycho Suzies and down the street from The Sample Room. It has long-time NE residents, new NE yuppies...all walks of life, stylish, cool crowd. Plus, they have their "special" drinks, the greenies and pinkies, which are always fun!! I saw a bridal party girl fighting with a pretty, girly-girl looking girl. It was super-duper.
FUN – Way to crowded!! But fun for a night out with the Girls!!
