Good morning, I have been a patron of Tony and Ann’s since 1977. Last night was very disappointing. The sauce was definitely not what we are used to and the pizza was just not hot but actually cold enough where the cheese was not fully melted. I hope you return to the old standards.
What happened? Why is the crust so thick now? Used to be nice and thin. This time I could barely taste the sauce and cheese. I grew up on toni and anns and this is not it.
Sauce is very tasty n on the sweet side. Thought the dough to be under cooked, but not greasy on the bottom. Subsequently took it home n air fried it at 400 deg for 4 min. Tasted better but certainly not crispy. Bought a small pepperoni, n unlike sometime ago, was in a real cardboard pizza box rather than a thin white bakery box. Bottomline: pizza options are quite varied depending on one's taste. This one is IMO unique n certainly worth ur consideration. Give it a try! Their long-time following speaks for itself!
