Tonto Bar & Grill

4.5

About this business

In a building that was once part of Arizona's largest dude ranch, Tonto Bar & Grill puts a satisfying spin on southwestern style cuisine and atmosphere. The Rancho Manana Golf Course is adjacent to the restaurant. Exposed wood rafters and heavy, Southwestern furniture are accented by a tastefully authentic Arizona decor. Sophisticated, contemporary takes on American favorites include Prawns with a Chipotle Chile Sauce, Peppered Pork in a Fennel Sauce and a wide range of beef, fish, seafood and poultry offerings.

One of our favorite places Tonto Bar & Grill is time tested. It's one of those places you feel sort of classy going to. Food is great. The atmosphere is friendly. It's fun to sit outside and watch over the golf course. My husband and I eat at Tonto B&G with frequency, and when we have guests, we take them there. Everyone raves about it. It's like the old west meets modern conveniences. Five stars from this diner.

Restaurant/Bar I love this place. An historic home that has been converted to a very nice restaurant. Steaks and great, but so is everything on their menu. Pricey but worth it. The black and white photos are of the original homestead. Very neat adobe structure, beams in the ceiling. Yee Haa!

Restaurant/New American This is a really neat place to go for a great meal & good beverages. The building is historic...there are a lot of really neat photos hanging of the people that used to live there or visit. Beautiful wood burning fireplaces are inside and out. The food is very, very good, too. I've had the Tonto Burger on several occasions and it has always been terrific.

Great Menu, Outstanding Food From the Roasted Pork & Green Chili Soup to the Grilled Buffalo Top Sirlion on Red Quinoa Smoked Bacon, with lots of sandwiches and salads in between, the Tonto Bar and Grill is Southwest cooking at its finest. What a great restaurant. Not inexpensive, but a good value for excellent dining. Very Highly Recommended! (Hint; make a reservation.)
