Told they didn’t have time for a bang trim after I made an appointment? Bang trims take a few seconds. Sat down for an appointment for a bang trim and was told there was no time to trim my bangs but they could possibly wash and style my hair. Very much was bullied out of the building. Made to feel entirely unwelcome. Highschool bully mentality and aura here. Skill level is mediocre for the price, as well as the entitlement. I won’t be coming back. I went to Tonic to get highlights. I got them done the first time and it didn’t even look like I had any done. I called and Marcus was awesome he rescheduled me with someone else to have my hair fixed so I loved it. In the end my hair is now fried all along the front of my hair. I’m so upset. I know damage comes along with highlights but I also think it is the job of the stylist to consider the integrity of the customers hair and discuss this with them.
I've had difficulty, for some time now, finding a stylist that can help me achieve the hairstyle I want. In conversation, a friend referred me to Tonic Salon. So, a couple of weeks ago I spoke to Marcus, the salon owner. He was wonderful....he wasn't "pushy", he wasnt "in a hurry"....he listened and answered my questions......and when our conversation was through, he set me up w/ an appointment with Lisa. Tonic is a great laidback salon with a chill vibe. Everyone is welcoming from the time you walk in. And the team seems to enjoy being there. Lisa is the total package. She has an eye for shades. She’s also very accommodating and welcoming, super inclusive and kind. I’m indecisive at best and need a lot of guidance. Some stylists get annoyed by that. It was a great experience from the time I walked into the salon, until the time I walked out. Lauren is very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable!
