Buyer BEWARE! Unfair Business Practices! We bought carpet from Tompkins and the installation was done poorly. There were stains on the carpet and the carpet smelled very toxic for atleast 6 weeks afterwards. We ended up having to remove it ourselves finally! We have never encountered such a smelly carpet. When we complained to Tompkins, the owner decided to file a lien on our home! They won't take the carpet back and instead of giving us a chance to negotiate or work out payment terms, they file a LIEN!!! There was never any... read more
