*Be Warned - Medical Billing Malfeasance* I wanted to share my recent experience with you which I hope raises awareness. My partner had a cataract surgical procedure done today. Prior, we spoke with the office to ensure all billing matters were in order and were told the out-of-pocket would be $60. The day were arrived, we were surprised the amount owed turned out to be $632 due to our insurance deductible (which makes sense as we are in a new year).
