Tomeka’s is hands down the best soul food spot in DE! Great food, great menu, AMAZING service EVERY TIME. You gonna wait a little bit for fresh food but it’s definitely worth the wait. And you can count on the same great quality EVERY SINGLE TIME!
We went here for the first time last Thursday, June 25th and have been raving about it ever since. The young lady that took our order was lovely as well as the others. The food was so good that I called my husband from work and asked him to go there on Sunday to get us some more food. I’ve put him on notice to not be going there all the time because I know him all too well, lol. I just moved to Delaware from Houston, TX, and let me tell you, this food was absolutely delicious. The catfish was fried to perfection, the mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and truly baked the way it should be, and the cabbage was seasoned perfectly… not too crunchy and not too soft. What really made the experience special was the hospitality.
