Pumpkin Curry, please! I hate Thai food...same boring options at every place. Except this one! They have all the usual Pad Thai suspects, but quite a few other quality options. My favorite is the pumpkin curry.
Yummy, huge portions, affordable! We eat here several times a month. It is affordable, delicious, and plenty of food for two meals. When I don't feel like cooking and it is already past dinner time, you can find me heading to Tom Yum.
Excellent eating I've eaten in-house here at least 20 times and picked up food to go at least a dozen more times. It's easily the best Thai restaurant in Portland. While not the cheapest, it is still reasonably priced, with its most expensive dish at $12.95. I always get the "Drunking Noodles" and "Flaming Beef. " The name is Tom Yum Thai Cuisine; I don't know why the directory has it misspelled. PROS: Best tasting Thai, reasonably priced CONS:
Flavorful thai food This is my current favorite thai restaurant. The food actually has flavor and spice, as compared to many totally bland thai places that are all over portland. My kids like the flaming beef, and I like the Tom Kha soup and pumpkin curry. My husband gets the drunken noodles. Prices are moderately cheap- good for take out when I am too busy or lazy to cook.
Bad Service :( – I ordered take out - two orders of Pad Thai. They said it would take 25 minutes - it took 50 minutes. After 40 minutes I started asking questions about my order. Everyone just ignored me. I asked three different employees about my order. They said they would check on the order. They never returned :( I finally went to the counter and had to start saying "excuse me" louder and louder - they continued to ignore me. Until they realized i wasn't going away. i just kep saying ' excuse me - excuse me. Finally some... read more

Overall, pretty good Thai Food – We’ve been going here for years. Sometimes, we’ll just get multiple orders of “Rockin’ Rolls” – fresh veggies and grilled chicken in a thin wrapper, served with peanut sauce. Their soups are usually very good; the Pad Thai is a good, solid standard – as are their curries. A couple of years ago, we did get food poisoning there. We tried to talk with the management, but they shooed us away – perhaps a language barrier. When we called the Health Department, they found some of their workers “new ... read more
