He is a founding member of the ICRS (International Cartilage Repair Society-1997) and present Vice President of the Society. Back in early 1999, I went in to have arthroscopic surgery on my cartilage in my right knee. Unbeknownst to me instead of cleaning out the cartilage, he harvested it. His name is Dr. Arnold Scheller. I can’t speak highly enough about Dr Minas, his entire staff, and everyone at the Paley Institute. I’m 2 weeks post op from a TTO and MACI. Surgery went well and I was extremely happy with Dr Minas’s communication pre and post op. The entire team at Paley and St Mary’s were very attentive to my recovery during my planned 1 night stay at the hospital and the days afterward. I truly believe Dr. Minas was the only surgeon in the world capable of successfully completing my total knee replacement. I am a very difficult case and had great difficulty even finding a surgeon that would take me on. Dr. Minas and Dr. Paley together moved mountains to make my extreme case successful and I have no words to thank them. To describe Dr. Minas as an outstanding surgeon is an understatement. He can do the impossible and I’m a perfect example of that.
