During an ultrasound at BSW Cardiology, I was partially undressed on the exam table when a male technician entered without knocking or asking permission, holding his cellphone camera toward me. I objected loudly. Recently I received a positive cancer diagnosis and was referred to Dr. Boostrom for additional evaluation and surgery. Due to family history with poor results, I was apprehensive to say the least. From the moment I stepped in to the initial pre-op consultation room, she and her staff treated us with great care and compassion. Awful experience in the ER. Waited 15 minutes just to get a wheel chair to bring her inside from the parking lot while she was bleeding out from a twin miscarriage. No one working there seemed to care other then someone offering her a towel and a sanitary pad. They had her pushing herself in a wheel chair to use the restroom during this entire process until I asked if that was standard practice to which they replied "no", not oh let me offer to help her, just a "no". There is a lack of medical knowledge at this practice. Doctor “in charge” works out of different city, is not reachable and is unable to help in cases of misdiagnosis. Health is important, this is not a place that treats their patients with respect or proper care. Zero oversight. If you want positive results from your urgent care visit, choose a different facility.
I am extremely upset with this office! I tried to go here to see the Dr. Lazzott and get an update on how my back issues are going and get the help I need. They denied me before even trying to see me!!!! They went by the few records I have here in Waco which I have only lived here for a year. I went to Azaelea orthopedics pain management years ago in Tyler Tx and they found I have spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, herniated discs, sciatica and more. Last summer, in the middle of my husband’s cancer treatment, we were told that his oncologist was no longer working for Baylor Scott & White. We were assigned Dr. Lucas Wong as his replacement. As my husband began his second round of chemo and immunotherapy, he became sicker than he’d ever been, and we went to MD Anderson and discovered that the cancer had metastasized into his liver.
