I’ve been with the good Dr for years. He is compassionate and I trust his advice.
First time I've felt 'not rushed' with my physician! Very thorough, diligent, knowledgeable and inquisitive. I've already recommended him to three friends. The office staff is great and they are ready when you arrive. Top notch.
I have been going to Dr. Howard since he came to Pawleys Island. I have always found him caring and willing to listen for any length to any questions. He is an excellent diagnostician and i have never had to wait more than one day for an appointment. He diagnosed my husband's cancer and actually gave me his cell number in case we needed him in an emergency. I can't say enough good things about his care of my family.
My appointment was on time, no delay! Dr. Howard listened to all my concerns. What he recommended was the right treatment for my condition. Very knowledgeable of the latest medical discovers.
Dr ok but his office staff is horrible. The dont return calls lose records and blood work consistently. Would not recommend
On several occasions Dr. Howard correctly diagnosed conditions affecting both my wife and me when other doctors / facilities had not. He is able to refer patients to the best specialists the first time. My wife credits him with saving her life when she had a severe blood clot issue. His staff is friendly and helpful and he is very accessible. We were lucky to get him as our primary care physician when our former one abruptly disappeared several years ago.
If you have Marketplace Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, I would recommend a different doctor. Before going to doctor Howard I verified with the girl at the front desk my insurance was covered before making an appointment. Ends up they don't cover the Yearly Wellness Visit (physical with bloodwork). I've had Marketplace insurance for 8 years and have always got my included benefits I've paid for with other doctors. He listens and takes his time to treat his full time patients with respect and confidence. I like that he has appointments for his regular patients, but if I'm sick I can walk in and be seen also. That's unlike most other internists in the area. If you're sick you end up going to an urgent care anyway because you cannot get in to see them.
