My sons have been going to Toledo Peds for 11 years and I also went to Toledo Peds as a child. The quality of their staff has gone down hill tremendously in the last 5 years. I always wait on the phone for 30 plus minutes before being able to speak to someone to schedule an appointment. After 11 years we are finally switching providers.
The medical assistants here are horrible. Took my son in for his 7 month appointment (he was off track a month bc of rescheduling so technically was his 6 month check up) and vaccinations. The older lady with glasses took us back to a room. Looking at the chart she’s asking us why we are there. I said we have an appointment. She continuously goes back and forth with us, saying we don’t do 7 month appointments. I told her, we are a month off and the doctor scheduled this appointment, there isn’t an issue. Please don’t take your kids anywhere near this practice. My sister worked here for a few days while shadowing. The nurses who give your children shots and draw them up out the bottle, don’t even use an alcohol wipe on top of the medicine before drawing it out. (This is supposed to be done every single time to prevent infection, illnesses, diseases, etc) She watched Summer, and multiple other nurses not do this once. Emailed school forms to be completed on July 17th and still haven't received them back. Currently on hold with the office for over 13 minutes. We have gone here for almost 7 years and the office keeps getting harder to get ahold of. They are in SERIOUS need of more staff. Also, our beloved pediatrician Dr Collins retired and the attention and care hasn't felt the same since.
