Highly disappointing experience. Okay food and a gimmicky "tokyo" experience. Why am I listening to american music in a tokyo themed restaurant? Why am I seeing sports and music videos? Tucked in the back of the restaurant are manga panels but no where else? This place just doesnt know what it wants to be. The only thing tokyo about the place is the minimum decor. It was no surprise why we were the only people in the place.
When I first found this place I absolutely loved it, a unique pizza shop that played anime on giant screens while synthwave played over the loud speaker. Unfortunately, that version of Tokyo Pie doesn’t appear to exist anymore, and everytime I’ve gone the past few months it’s just had generic pop music and sports on the TV like every other bar in town. The food remains good, though maybe a bit expensive outside of the Tuesday specials, but the atmosphere is just completely dead at this point.
Unique bar with delicious fusion pizzas! They’ve got great cocktails as well!
This was our first Tokyo Pie visit, and my wife and I had a great time celebrating my birthday on a Tuesday night. We grabbed a table by the bar and ordered cocktails from the friendly bartender. Then ordered two pies through the QR code (super quick using Google Pay). We could have ordered them from the bartender also. I then did order the dessert hand pie from the bartender.
