About this business

Tokyo Cafe is home to the best Japanese food in Fort Worth! Casual dining, serious food. Some call us the local "Cheers." To some, it's "Tokyo." For a number of the locals, it's simply "Sushi" (no other explanation needed, Tokyo Cafe is understood). Regardless of what you call us, it's a place you can count on for Japanese comfort food. Tokyo Cafe is family-owned and operated.

Anyone from Fort Worth who has been to Tokyo Cafe and knows sushi will tell you the food and service are top notch. I am so thankful Tokyo Cafe is open after being closed for so long after their unfortunate fire. But they are back! And better than ever! I really like that they went ahead and did a full remodel on the place. It looks great! We got in around 8:15 and they were really busy, but we got in at the sushi bar in about 15 minutes. The service was awesome! Great wine and the sushi was amazing. If you have never been t... read more

Went tonight at 530pm, tried to seat us next to large table with 4 other tables free, asked for table more quiet, the hostess gave it to us but obvious she was unhappy with our request. Our food was ok, ordered two separate to go's, after we got home realized those were not right either. Wont be standing in line for that kind of service

Business response:

Hi Michelle. Thank you for taking your time to review your most recent experience on Saturday night. I have spoken to the hostesses working that night and I apologize for the misunderstanding. She wanted to make sure the server tending to the table you were relocated to was immediately available to serve. As for the to go order, I know it is after the fact but I would like to see if I can make it right in the coming days. Please ask for Jarry or Mary at 817-737-8568. Again, I apologize for the experience you had.

What can i say buy YUM! We loved the Bao Buns, steamy, fresh and crunchy bottoms, filled with goodness. The Japanese 'Fish and Chips' was truly tasty. Highest compliment coming from island folks like us. The fish (Red Snapper) tasted fresh from the ocean, The fries were worth the battle (we shared) and the green brown rice tea was nutty and smooth. Drinks were good, although a bit too much ice for such small cups (wink). Service and ambiance were on point. Great place. We'll be back soon! Itadakimasu to Chef and staff!

This was my absolute favorite place to eat in Fort Worth. I was devastated after the fire. When I heard it was reopening, I drove past at least 3 times a week to see if the doors were open. I had lunch there yesterday, and it has actually improved!! Try the stir fry etimame

While physical space has changed the food has not. Amazing as always, love the beef and Tejas roll! Great to see Mary and Jarry working the room and ensuring great meal as always! See you all again soon!
