Sandwiches we ordered were not good at all. Service wasn't great either. However, pastries were wonderful.
The staff was very nice and they seemed to have a good selection. We shared a meatball sub and chocolate canoli. The sub roll was great and the sauce was good. It was a fairly average meatball sub though. The chocolate cannoli wasn't something I'd ever purchase again. The pastry was extremely dense and hard, didn't have much flavor other than a hint of cinnamon, and the filling was bland as well. Probably wont go back for a meatball sub or cannoli.
My husband and I go every Saturday eve for dinner! Just a simple casual COMFORTABLE place to enjoy a meal with some very friendly waitresses! GREAT SERVICE
The food is delicious. And the bread rolls, are as close to Italian rolls back home in NJ. Since moving here, we haven't found good rolls. Happy we finally have. And we can buy them fresh! Tried several fresh bakery items. Disappointed. They didn't seem to be sweet enough. Kind of bland. Shocked really. They looked delicious! But, we will try the bakery items again.
We are originally from Jersey and miss our Italian food from there. This comes pretty close--not 100%, but pretty close. The portion sizes are extremely generous. OH--you MUST try the desserts--TO DIE FOR!! The Italian bread is almost like up north, too. You will NOT be disappointed. And the prices? Fuggedaboutit! Two can dine for under $40 easy.
Best bakery in Horry county.... and beyond!! Great pizza too!
