EDIT: I NOW HAVE BLACK MOLD IN MY UNIT FROM FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I've lived here for over a year and a half. My unit itself is nice and spacious and that's the only reason I stay. My biggest issue with the place is the management. The employees are all very kind and friendly, but the rental agency has other buildings, and Todd Lofts is clearly their lowest priority and the place/residents they care about least. The rent is fine and my place is cute. Otherwise, the maintenance takes forever, the leasing office is unresponsive, the cameras in the parking lots are jokes as i’ve had my bike stolen and car hit without evidence, and they’ve jacked up the prices and WILL TOW even if your car is parked in the wrong lot for 30 minutes to help with an emergency. My window stopped opening and they said “oh well it’s too difficult to fix”. The hallways also smells horrible (either poop, pee, or weed).
I really enjoy my apartment at this complex. It has a unique/industrial feel being in a historic building with concrete floors. It has an interesting smell, but I attribute that to the age of the building, it isn’t anything noxious. The ceilings are high, the windows are huge, there is a ton of natural lighting, the kitchen is updated, and there is in-unit laundry as well as communal laundry for bulkier items. I live here and honestly as my first ever apartment this has been the best experience ever. The leasing agency is so nice and always so willing to help and explain things to me. The maintenance team is great never had a problem with them, and todd lofts building is pretty clean itself the only problem ive ever had is that first moving into my apartment it had a moist smell but it went away and its really only in the washer now but it was an easy fix.
