I wish I could give a negative star. My father (93) is a patient of Dr. Vandenberg and is in his final months. I was hesitant about taking him in to the office and needed to ask the doctor a question before making a decision to cancel the appointment. I asked if the doctor could call me. The staff told me the only way I could talk to the doctor was to bring my father in. I would have had to call an ambulance service to take him in, just to ask the doctor a question. Doctor Vandenberg did a bladder percidure on me yesterday, I have not felt this well since 1997. I can have a real life now,post percidure no pain,all is working better than ever,I am so happily amazed thank You Doctor.
Save your self!!! This place is awful!!! The staff is over worked and confused. Doctor is creepy and had his hands all over my wife! Rough! Take your urological care to MUSC in Charlestonn. Actually qualified!
In response to KK's review, I am are sorry to learn of your family members difficulty in getting requested information. Due to Federal law it is a violation of HIPAA to disclose any medical information to persons not indicated on the HIPAA acknowledgement form. Upon speaking with staff, I believe you came to the office the next day and spoke personally with the nurse in question who explained our policy and advised the family member had received the requested information. Dr. Vandenberg’s staff in Columbia were helpful, courteous and professional during my office visit today. This was my first visit and it went very well. Dr. Vandenberg is a great listener and thorough with his diagnosis and explanations. One of the best bedside manners of any doctor that I have seen recently.
