I felt like he really cared about my health he was really nice also.
My reason for being there was concerning to me, but I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable everyone made me feel. Dr. Bauer was personable and discussed my condition with empathy and understanding of my concerns! I also felt secure, as he was knowledgeable and willing to explain my condition in detail!
Very caring and fantastic bedside manner. I have only had one visit with him, but I have full confidence in him.
Dr. Gray and our daughter Victoria Dye who works for TN Oncology highly recommended Dr. Bauer. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was very patient answering our questions, and never got in a rush. I would recommend him to others who are battling cancer!
Arrogant know-it-all. Would not answer questions actively discouraged me from researching my cancer treatment. Refused to do anything regarding the fatigue I experienced instead telling me to go on disability - 4 YEARS later I am still working full time and have a much better doctor who actually answers my questions and works with me on MY treatment plan. Not his. If you are referred to this oncologist and you want to have an active role in your own treatment, you need to find someone else.
I met with Dr. Bauer on a Monday morning and by the afternoon I was admitted into the hospital with a PET Scan schedule for the next day as well as plans for Chemo and a port. When Dr. Baur looked at my records and biopsy results, he reviewed treatment options with me right away without any BS. When I was in the hospital he came to my room every day to keep me updated. My office visits with him before my chemo treatments were informative and never rushed.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bauer and the team at Sarah Cannon. My father has been traveling 2+ hours every month for the past year to see him for his cancer treatments. He takes the time to explain test results and addresses any concerns we have during our visit. My father is doing better as a result of choosing Dr. Bauer for his care.
With end of life care and at visits bedside manner inconsistent and poor with minimal empathy. We were in drug study resulting in death my family member. Additionally felt like he was too insistent on hospice/“DNR”/etc.
Communication is key in any successful relationship. Here is an epic fail. Bauer & his team do NOT follow up, answer questions or return calls. If you want a doctor/team who will partner with you, this is not the one.
