Good Buffet I loved eating here. though i only came here once for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. The location is not as convenient for people that don't have cars. but the food it overall pretty good. I feel that the price is a little too high for the quality of food they had. I would definitely go back and eat here again. maybe after i get my next paycheck =)
wouldn't eat there again The location in Huntington Beach-we disliked, the sign outside their door shows whole lobsters, crab, sushi which made us want to eat there. When asked where the lobster was on the buffet they served us only a half of lobster(for one time only). The are misleading the consumers we expect to eat what they are advertising as all you can eat.We have a toddler 1 year old. These people charged him a low price because he sat up in the chair. For the price of the buffet this is not the best you need a reality ... read more
This enormous Japanese buffet attracts a diverse crowd for all-you-can-eat sushi and tempura. – In Short The first Todai Restaurant debuted in 1985 in Santa Monica, Calif., and has since opened in locations across the U.S. and in Hong Kong. The restaurant, with seating for up to 500 people, features a 160-foot seafood buffet offering more than 40 kinds of sushi, all made fresh. The salad selection ranges from Caesar to seaweed to red potato salad. Hot entrees include sukiyaki, teriyaki chicken, sweet-and-sour pork and udon n... read more
seafood here is not fresh. sushi has been sitting out for a while
Good Selection – If you're more of the "quantity vs. quality" type, you'll enjoy this place. Todai has plenty of selection when it comes to both sushi and hot entrees (tempura, teriyaki, etc...), and since it's all you can eat, you shouldn't leave hungry. I've only been here for lunch, which is an excellent price for what you get. The desserts are pretty good too, they even make crepes for you. If you're looking for authentic, high quality Japanese, this probably isn't your cup of tea. If you want to get full, and try a bunc... read more
Poor Quality I am not sure why other people have rated this place so high. The food was low quality and there were ants all over the place. The restaurant is dirty and my husband ended up getting sick after eating there (and he eats anything!) Not only is the food bad, but the restaurant is unsanitary as well.
Only if you're starving – This place is pretty big, nice atmosphere, clean. As for the food, it looked fresh, tasted pretty good too. as for different choices, not many "hot foods" to choose from, lots of sushi, and tons of desserts...but the price was crazy, way too much for this type of a place.
Average The food was pretty good but I think the price could've been a little lower and the sushi a little fresher. All the hot food was very good and the desserts were good as well!
good eats This is the best asian buffet i've been to in a long time. The seafood is great, the atmosphere is nice and the sushi (for a buffet) is good. It's a little pricey, but well worth it for the variety.
