We drove almost an hour to visit the Tocco, and it turned out not to be the expected overall experience from what we have heard of this establishment. The food was not at Michelin star level to say at least. The fried calamari was overcooked, and the tuna tartare was not the freshest . The bresaola was very good and tasty, The service was not very attentive and waitress seems to be stressed out, and we had to ask few times for garnishes missed on the drink.

Besides the great food, in the summer their outdoor patio on the street is the best. Highly recommended as your go to for summer eating outside.

Tocco is, hands down, our favorite restaurant on the North Shore. The food is authentic, fresh, and preservative-free — standouts include the focaccia, the pastas, and the branzino. The tiramisu is the best we've had, with the ricotta cheesecake a close second. Servers are warm, knowledgeable veterans who've been with the restaurant for years. On top of all that, owner Bruno Abate runs a charity (and has for many years) teaching inmates to cook. We can't recommend Tocco highly enough.

The food was fabulous! I asked the server to give me what she thought was the best meal they had and she picked for me a turkey pasta that was delicious. We had the spaghetti and lentos soup as well which were both very tasty. The lentos soup had a wonderful rich flavor. The only problem that I feel was that when we got the bill the prices didn't match what was on the menu. The deserts were priced one way on the menu and then we were billed another different amount.
