A very pleasant and attractive place to stay; close to Ballina and Byron. Not far fromM1 so easy access to entire North coast.

I booked toad hall cottage for 3 nights with the understanding it was 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom as advertised on the website but upon arrival the 2nd bedroom and bathroom were locked and couldn't gain access, spoke to the host and was told if I wanted access to them it would cost extra. The advertisement was misleading about the privacy as the cottage is right on the main road that leads into Lennox head , Toad hall house is right next door plus there is also another house at the rear. Not the experience we expected, and a very imperfect stay. We booked Toad Hall being attracted to the photos of a peaceful rural setting, but the reality was the opposite, being located right on the main road to Lennox Heads with traffic noise all night and day. The bedrooms have windows on every side with no blinds at all meaning we were woken up at dawn with bright light streaming straight in on our faces and couldn’t sleep.
