Can I give him a zero? I went for an initial appointment and this doctor made me feel so horrible for asking him questions about my TMJ symptoms. This doctor is very rude and has no bedside manners. A doctor is supposed to teach his patients with compassion. Mind you, English is not my first language and I was nervous...I had been suffering with symptoms for two years until I found him. I was told that they don't take insurance. When I asked (out of genuine curiosity, not rudely) how people afford care there, hoping she might cite payment plans or something, the receptionist laughed at me. I'm disabled. Could there be a worse kind of doctor's office than this?
Dr. Edwards and his staff are professional, competent, and welcoming. I am at a bit higher risk for complications with palatal expansion, and Dr. Edwards has been incredibly accessible and patient responding to my numerous questions. For the past three years, I’ve had crepitus when opening and closing my jaw. When opening mouth, people in the room could hear the crunching coming from my jaw. I’ve seen a handful of doctors who always want to prescribe a “bandaid fix”, nothing ever worked. When I met Dr. Chase Edwards he addressed the problems and causes with facts and an action plan that didn’t involve medication. Dr Edwards and staff are great! I came in seeking help after dealing with years of jaw related pain. Dr Edwards and staff are extremely kind, professional and genuine. I had tried generic mouthguards, custom night guards and more to try and relieve my pain, but nothing worked. After my initial exam, Dr Edwards sat me down to run through the results, and it was so validating seeing my x-ray for my jaw come back abnormal, having very high tension in my tmj muscles, and even a narrow airway due to my jaw.
