I lived at 5054 N Winthrop and my experience wasn’t the best or the worst. Cons: - stray german roaches from someone else’s apartment - 2 mice in my unit - fly infestation in fridge - bathtub is not level which hurt my feet and prevents tub from draining. Every time I ran the shower I would have to get on my hands and knees and scoop the water down the drain. - no soundproofing. Edit in response to business reply - Go to the building yourself and ask anyone who lives there how often the elevator breaks down if you don't believe me. Daily is a bit hyperbolic I'll admit but multiple times in a week was not uncommon. I did not have an unpaid balance when I moved out. They charged me a fee that is not legitimate that they have been unable to collect on because any time I point the illegitimacy of this out to collectors they back off. This is genuinely one of the worst realtor companies in Chicago. We toured and applied for an apartment for 80 dollars, the leasing agent said he could not PROCESS or submit the applications until they are ALL in but he assured me that once we do so it’ll be taken off the market. He also said they only process applications one at a time, but somehow the listing went off of the market and it wasn’t because of ME it was because of another group.
