My first time here for a evaluation for n extreme jaw pain the doctor was kind and excellent very compassionate and very intelligent. Iam vietnam war veteran from rockford michigan a 2 hour drive the rest.of the staff were also very nice and friendly ! Iam looking forward to going back for treatments They made me feel very comfortable even though i was in extreme pain. That clinic care is a 5 star or higher. Prospective patients are currently required to schedule appointments at least half a year out. I'm unaware if this is a teaching clinic or not, but if the purpose is to serve the community of Michigan then this office is missing its objective. If requiring reference from a dentist with documented evidence would help cut down on the amount of frivolous patients that you see, then please implement that measure. The dentists and assistants are very professional and kind. I have just started treatment for TMJ pain. They took the time to explain the options and answer my questions. I am happy to drive an hour to be treated here.
According to my PCP, she sent a referral over at the beginning of December. A few weeks ago I called twice and left a message asking them to let me know if they had received it. I asked them to let me know if I should just move on with another provider but I still haven't received any communication almost 2 months after the initial referral. At least tell me to not waste my time.
After over a dozen visits over 2 years, no change in my TMJ symptoms or facial pain. The doctors are nice enough, but they only do the same thing every visit, like when you go to a general doctor and they always "check your vitals" but don't actually do anything to make a difference. The front end staff are always vaguely hostile and downright grumpy.
