Dr. Champlin started off as my son’s pediatrician. We ultimately ended up switching to a new doctor when he was almost 2 years old. I will say that the clinic is designed nicely, and some of the staff that we dealt with (though we always saw new faces each visit) were nice. Dr. Champlain’s wife was always super sweet to us. And it was never busy/crowded, which is a huge plus. What we were not fans of was the robotic way Dr. Champlin went through each visit. Zero regard for patient care. Would not refill my son’s rescue inhaler going into the weekend when he has an asthma diagnosis because he hadn’t had a “well child” visit. He was just seen couple months ago 3 different times in a week due to pneumonia but they still refuse to refill his inhaler. He has been seen and assessed multiple times in the clinic recently. I would definitely consider going to another place. Their communication is awful and they care more about regulations than the wellbeing of your children.
Can't hear the receptionist when calling to make an appointment. Gets old telling them you can't hear them. Either the person is a low talker, there's something wrong with the lines or the microphone is too far away...regardless, it needs to be corrected.
drove an hour to see him & will continue to commute. Very informative & did not rush us.
