Since moving into Beachside apartments approximately three weeks ago, I have been experiencing an infestation of roaches, mosquitoes, and mice, creating an uninhabitable environment. I currently live at Top of the Mount Apartments in Mount Prospect and am absolutely disgusted by the lack of communication from TLC. Although building management has been helpful, TLC has been an absolute joke and nightmare to deal with. The biggest problem has been the garage, which although I’m paying $150/month for, has been open to the public for the past six months. Despite multiple complaints, nothing has been fixed. Nothing but problems with the company. It's an actual crime how they treat these buildings. Laundry is so bad I hit a refund limit. Paperwork gets lost. Scheduling a tour was the worst, AI assisted to make sure no one was around at the scheduled time. The emergency line is a Filipino call center. They're good about pests, must be a legal thing because there's no other indication they care about the tenants. I recently told a friend about TLC Management and they said, "It sounds like a slumlord." I live in a 12 story building with only one working elevator. A large majority of the people who live in my building are older, and the management has made it clear that they don't care enough about the residents to properly fix the elevator. On more than one occassion I've had to walk up 12 flights of steps because both elevators are out of service. It's difficult for me, a young person, to do.
