This is the most unprofessional rental organization I've ever dealt with. Extremely poor communication and response to emergency situations. For several weeks I have been requesting maintenance on my front door and have been ignored. This weekend I was trapped in my apartment and was unable to leave because the door was malfunctioning. Even after explaining that this was an extreme fire hazard and likely against the law I still haven't received a response from management.
NEW: POOL CLOSED: It is extrememly sad to report that on July 22nd, 2026, Arbor Lake Apartments in Arlington Heights, IL swiftly closed down our swimming pool, possibly for the rest of the pool season, due to the fact that according to our Property Manager, TLC did NOT renew their Pool License. It's a disgrace that a large Corporation would not renew a pool license. They have no regard for all of the residents that use the pool on a daily basis, especially us retired folks. I lived at their property at 869 W Buena for 3 months from August 1 2025-October 31 2026. Within my first week I noticed BED BUGS and instantly reported it instantly. They tried to make me think I was lying and accuse me of bringing the bugs in. After 3 months, they claimed to have treated my unit 5 times. Not only were the bed bugs still there, but other bugs as well. Since moving into Beachside apartments approximately three weeks ago, I have been experiencing an infestation of roaches, mosquitoes, and mice, creating an uninhabitable environment. Most urgently, my kitchen sink has been backed up with raw sewage, and as of today, it remains unresolved. This situation has persisted for over 72 hours, rendering my kitchen unusable and exposing me to hazardous sewage gases.
