Nine years later: Material from the shingles themselves combined with small debris from trees and atmospheric dirt have completely clogged the foam filters. I have purchased and installed their gutter filters. While they are not the end-all and be-all, they do cut down on the need for gutter cleaning. The advantage of being a DIY install was the deciding factor for me. After about three seasons, some of the sections will be clogged and need replacing.
