Stopped by right before closing with a low tire in my rental car. Two nails -They fixed it at no charge!!!

My wife brought her car in to have one of her tires repaired on he brand new vehicle with only 10k miles. These guys broke one of her studs by torquing the stud down with the center cap on the rim. On the 2016 and 2017 4runners the center cap has to be removed before torquing the stud or it will strip it and break it. These guys admitted to breaking the stud but would not own up to fixing it. Hi Andrew. As discussed with yourself and to clarify some of your comments. We did not torque the stud down with the center cap on the rim. The center cap was removed in order to balance the wheel correctly. Once the balancing was completed the wheel was placed back on your wifes vehicle, the studs were placed on by hand and then run down with a gun, utilizing a torque stick. It was when we applied the correct torque wrench on the stud that the lug bolt gave way. It is clear to see the metal fatigue on the lug bolt. The bit ... read more
