I’m sitting here right now for over an hour since my appointment time for a simple blood draw. The staff is super nice here but the service is typical VA. It sucks. If you can afford to go to a private over the VA.. definitely do that
Dr. Yakubov refused to prescribe my medications, because he had failed to look at my record in My Healthy Vet. He was unprepared for our tele visit so he attempted to coerce me into rescheduling to an in-person visit. However, the most egregious aspect of our conversation was he actually said (paraphrasing) if I didn't like his care/treatment (actual quote follows) "I could treat myself." Waited an extremely long time… even arrived early. Everyone who came in after went before us. Not sure we were even signed in. Also, receptionist at desk wasn’t overly friendly when approached by my father, who is hard of hearing. This was my first experience coming with him. So far, not impressed.
Dr. Jyothi Asthana provides inadequate care and is unprofessional. She decided to try to remove my husbands community care and force him to go into VA facility's when he qualifies for community care and has had it for years. She thought it would be a good idea to leave a message on his phone informing him that community care does NOT EXIST and NOT to call patient advocacy.
