Won't return.... – The first time we went to Joe's was 10 years ago for our daughter's 21st birthday. I remember it as being just okay. We stopped in yesterday for appetizers and was really disappointed. The Garlicky Mussels were overcooked, not garlicky at all and the broth was straight up salt. When I dont eat all the Mussels, there is clearly something wrong there. The Fried Calamari was tasteless and was probably frozen for a long period of time before being overcooked. BLEH. Horrible Service – My experience here was horrible ! My boyfriend and I had arrived after the rest of our party was already there. We seated ourselves. Our waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to drink. We both ordered coffee, which by the way took her fifteen minutes to bring to us. We then had to ask for menus since we were not offered any. The staff was very slow in preparing our food, mind you, there was only one other table of people there at the same time as us. Avoid Poor Service & Crummy Food by skipping Joe Crab Shack – The restaurant had just opened for the day so our large party of eight had no problem being seated. However, by the time we were seated the restaurant was filling fast and our waiter decided to to take all the orders in his section at one time starting with us. Needless to say, though we were first to be seated we were last to be served due to the waiter's clueless actions. Family Friendly?? Not unless you smoke... – My daughter and I visited this location about 7pm tonight. We were seated outside as requested, so my daughter could play on the playground. We had been seated about a half hour, and before our food came, a table of six was seated two tables away. Not long after our food arrived, two of the men walked into the playground area, stood by the railing right next to my table and began smoking and chatting. Highly recommened! – My best friend had ordered a whole lobster, just the lobster. When it came out of the kitchen it "was" the whole lobster, head and all. My best friend was not expecting that and refused to dive in, so I cut it open for her and her stomach couldnt handle it. Not expecting anything, because she did order a whole lobster and gave no details...the restaurant did offer her another entree and comped her dinner. We were both VERY pleased!! Not a good time – Lunch on 6-8-2011 Food was VERY slow, over an hour, then the order was wrong. Took the manager another 10 minutes to show up. The fare was greasy and cool. Would not recommend for a $54 lunch. Too bad no negative star ratings.

Worst food. Worst ambiance. Bad!!!!! – music blaring like a club at 7pm... Horrible ambiance. Almost stressful. Food is mediocre at best.crab frozen and not goof flavor. Then the singing comes for birthdays. Combiqned with the blaring stereo, you will find yourself looking to jump off the closed bridge. Awful. Period.
