Dr. O'Shea is an amazing provider at Duke Womens Health Heritage. She has a knowledge beyond her years. She follows the newest guidelines. Great listener. Respectful. Caring. Empathetic. Patient centered care. My overall impression of this visit is exceptional. I have never visited a doctor's office where I felt so welcome and well taken care of.
Dr. O'Shea is very inexperienced and made two large mistakes upon my first visit and I will not be going back to her. First, she prescribed a medication that severely interacts with a current medication I am currently on, and discussed with her in depth prior to her prescribing the medication. However, she prescribed anyway. She does not have the experience or foresight to consider an alternate or recognize the potential for negative impacts between medications. I had an absolutely scary experience at her hands. She incorrectly performed a procedure to induce me which resulted in a 36 hour induction followed by a hemorrhage. She seemed to be careless, arrogant and incompassionate and we eventually requested she be removed from our case.
Dr.. Oshea was nice to follow up with me to see how I was doing when I lost my son. She was gracious to give me a phone call and take 20 minutes out of her day to see how I was doing. I have been blessed with such amazing Doctors from UF. They are all compassionate people who show empathy and sympathy to their patients. I feel like I am in the best hands of all the care providers at this clinic and appreciate the care that Dr. O'Shea gives.
