Couples love getting cozy in this charming bistro-style neighborhood restaurant. Exposed brick walls bedecked with contemporary art give the place an urban feel that local trendsetters appreciate. Health nuts dig the place for the healthy fare and focus on innovative veggie cuisine, although you will find your share of meat-eater classics like steak and pork chops on the menu. Their fish dishes are also extremely tasty and popular.

Too bad the service is poor, because the food is good – First time to Tin Angel, girls weekend in Nashville on Sat 7/28/07. Told no wait on the phone, half of the tables were empty at arrival, hostess "flitted" her hands at us and said "20 minute wait" for 5. It was. Prepped the table using 4 regular adult chairs and one small childrens chair for 5 adults. Brought us Mimosas instead of Bellini's after going back to the bar to check on availability of cocktails. Couldn't divide the check. From the hostess to the waitress, the... read more
GREAT !!!!!! – For a first timer at the Tin Angel the dinning experience was outstanding! The atmostsphere was very comfortable & plesent. My waiter was excellent, he made some outstanding recommondations and even went as far to explain in detail the menu and the wine list (as i am new to trying wine). He was very attentive to our needs & and are questions. I like to eat, the portions of food at the Tin Angel are generous to say the least. I would have to say the over all experience was GREAT!!!! I will be coming back the Th... read more
Really good food in a very relaxing environment – After having a massage last week, I met up with a few girlfriends to have dinner and a glass of wine. We were going to go to Maggiano's, but one of the women wasn't eating pasta so we decided to go to Tin Angel, because it was right down the street. Really good choice! The atmosphere is very good. Brick walls made the restaurant look very inviting and warm. Our server was well prepared for the many questions we had about the menu. I had the Med Salad, which was fantastic. Jus... read more
getting drinks you pay for – My friend and I endured the wrath of the mean tea lady. I thought she was ficticious, but then I saw her face to face. I think I'm scarred for life. I had to go to tea therapy. All I wanted was the tea I paid for, but she washed it down the drain much like my hopes and dreams. It all started last Sunday at Tin Angel. My friend and I sat down not knowing what to expect. I didn't know they only served brunch, and since I had breakfast already that day I wasn't really eager to eat another one (being... read more
This cozy restaurant's inviting fireplace and cappuccino bar warm up West End Avenue. – In Short This low-key neighborhood bistro features warm decor, with brick floors and a welcoming fireplace. Vanderbilt types and Hillsboro hipsters come during peak hours, but the restaurant also attracts folks on romantic dates. Flavorful, healthy dishes are offered, like the pasta Mediterranean, tossed with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Steaks, pork chops, chicken and fish dishes are also offered. After meals, diners sip drin... read more
Beware of the Mean Tea Lady – My vegetarian friend and I decided to go to Tin Angel on Sunday, since this website said it was great for vegetarians. Unfortunately, after we sat down and looked at the menu, we realized that it did not have many veggie dishes at all, or the ones they did have on Sundays were breakfast style. The waiter had already taken our tea orders, but we had not taken a sip out of them yet. I couldn't seem to get the waiter's attention, so I walked up to the hostess who, by the way, was stuffing her face ... read more
Best Brunch – Every Sunday and yes I mean every sunday I sit down at Tin Angel and start my week off right. Mimosa and Eggs Benedict. Everything on the menu is great I know because again we go every sunday but I'm hooked on the Eggs and the potatoes are the absolute best. My children even love this place. I wouldn't be able to rave enough about it. I say go with the warm wheat toast to start, Huevos Rancheros or Eggs Benedict with potatoes!!
SLOW service, unfriendly staff – I went for lunch along with 2 coworkers last week. Our waiter was very cold and unfriendly; offering no refills on drinks throughout the lunch. We finished our lunch and waited for quite a long time until I finally ask the hostess to have our waiter return to the table. With a bothered attitude he returned to the table, slapped the bill down and walked off. Very unfriendly, COLD experience; do not plan to return.
excellent brunch – delicious food, great lively ambiance. friendly funky wait staff, hip crowd. a cool, fun spot for brunch.
