My sister can't drive (due to neurological problems) and couldn't make the bus up the the appointment, and even let the office know. He dropped her as a patient and even when I moved in with her, didn't give any reasoning, even when we petitioned, apologized and wrote letters, he seemingly didn't care. We had really bad experiences with Dr. Powell.
Dr. Powell treated the seizure condition, not how my son was responding to the changes in medications or increased/decreased drug levels. HIs attitude of superiority was disheartening and frustrating as a parent. I expect my son's doctor to treat the whole person and take into consideration the care givers and families observations. Our opinions were disregarded and he forged forward with his plan of care instead of treating the side effects or seizure activity. Quality of life didn't matter.
