My experience with Dr. Prater was one that I walked out of the office feeling rushed and the my referral of over 5 different tests and two different had surgeries were not read or in any way prepared for before I got there. His nurse even said when she checked me in that they should have read everything before hand. Then as he gave me a report I felt that he projected on me that it was me looking to have another surgery to fix my (in his words “deformed finger”. Dr Pater has performed surgery on my hand and shoulder over the years as well as my son years ago. He and his staff have always been professional and straight forward. I would highly recommend him.

I couldn’t be happier about our experience with Dr Pater. I am a physical therapist and was convinced that my 13 year old son needed surgery when I saw his x ray for a severe displaced clavicle fracture. Dr Pater put us at ease from the first visit that this wouldn’t be necessary due to his age. Sure enough the bone healed without surgery and my son is back to contact sports without pain.
