I had a very complex kidney stone case which is hard to get it out. My 1st doctor failed to remove it and told me to leave it as is. So I decided to look elsewhere, and later I found Dr. Chang. Dr. Chang gave me two-surgery plan, one week apart. At 1st surgery, he removed 1/3 of the stone. At 2nd surgery, he completely removed the stone. I am very grateful that he and his team can do such a wonderful job. if you have complex kidney stone case, go with Dr. Chang. He said he likes challenge.
I found Dr Chang to be a great clinician but ancillary staff very weak. It matters greatly in providing good care to a patient. Follow up remiss.
If you want the best surgeon/professor in California to help you with removal of your kidney stones. in urology..and check out his resume. this man is the best!!!!!!. he's very thorough in what he does..and his knowledge is unprecedented..he is the best seriously..if you are a vet and you are at the VA hospital in palo Alto..and have any kidney issues ask for Dr Chang..I will say he is super busy..but if you get him..you won't be disappointed..
