Edit: they said it closed at 7:00 but they were closed at 6:51. Popular because it's the only coffee shop near these buildings. However, the menu is extremely limited (no lattes, very few food options), the few seats are always busy, and they have no cashier (self-service only, unless paying by UBC card).

I come here early morning shortly after 0700 so this may account for my positive experience among all these negative reviews. The kiosk to order was easy to use, and the order arrived fast.

There isn’t an option to order drinks with your own to-go mug through the kiosk. I put in my order normally and go to the counter to tell them I want my drink in my personal mug. They see my order is down the line and say “not yet” and don’t take my mug. 25-minutes later I get my order and it’s served in a disposable cup. I let them know I wanted this in my own mug, lady points to the receipt and says “well it doesn’t say that here” Staff are clearly overworked and understaffed, but there’s something seriously wrong at this ... read more
