My daughter and I stayed for our second time at Camp Lucy. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Tillie’s restaurant. The menu has a variety of hearty Hill country dining portions. This is not fine dining portions! The thing that felt off was the service. The hostess was fluttering around seating guests but needed a back up to help her with greeting guests and seating. We lived it here! Service was amazing- Vanessa was on top of everything! Her suggestions were on point and the food was perfection!
This is truly a beautiful resturant in a beautiful setting. The service was excellent. The food was pleasing. A little pricey, but everything is now days! Worth it for the ‘experience.’
Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. We waited 10+ minutes before anyone came over to our table. Someone eventually took our order. I tried to order the Bourbonist, but they were out, so I ordered the Tex-Mex Bloody Mary instead, which came out missing the candied bacon. For food, we ordered the chicken and waffles and the brisket hash. The chicken was dry and the waffles were soggy.
