Tyler Akins, the manager, is such a nice person. When he walked up, he was very friendly, very welcoming, and very helpful. My wife and I felt very comfortable asking him questions and getting his guidance. We found some tiles we lived and, when we are ready to buy, we will come back to The Tile Shop because of Tyler. He is a very representative of your company and we understand why you made him the manager of the store.
Hi During the second half of 2024, I refurbished two bathrooms in my home in Wesley Heights and would like to recommend the Tile Shop on 4530 Wisconsin Avenue in NW DC. The manager Corey Webb went out of his way to ensure that I could get best choice of tiles fitting the style of the bathrooms, but also stick to promised delivery times and stepping in when there was the slightest issue. On the 9/29/23 ,I called this location searching for some spacers .I asked the lady if I could get the discount. She asked if I had a contractors license and I told her no. I also mentioned that they have given me the discount and I would rather shop loyal than Amazon. She stated that I don't get the discount (RUDELY) .It's NOT like you're working on a million dollar project, you can't AFFORD it. I received the wrong sample and called the the Scarsdale store . The guy that picked up the phone told me to drive in to return a 1/6 size sample in order to get a refund of $2.99 which I ordered from the Internet. I told him that I don't have a car and I had gotten this from their website and the tile is 1/6 size of a full tile. His attitude was horrible and he said his manager Chi would tell me the same thing and he refused to give me his name. Awful, worst customer service ever. I had selected tile with Kim an employee who was great, we spent a lot of time on this . I had to get accurate measurements and when I came in to place order it was his day off. The employees refused to help me and take my money (well over $10,000 worth of tile) they told me I had to deal with Kim. I am the customer , Kims day off should not affect when I am able to place an order at a public business that is open. Laura and staff are very professional & helpful. She was soooo patient with me as a novice in the middle of a master bath redo. Her suggestions were spot on & the project turned out beyond our expectations. Thanks!
After my wife complained that she was sold incorrect size of tile the manager named Helmo insulted my wife and told her never to come back to the store. She came home crying. We still did not receive the refund for the returned incorrect size tile. We bought same tile at " floor and decor" twice cheaper and nice friendly people. Stay away from these crooks.
