Both of my children had developmental speech delays. My eledest actually had a brain injury before birth that caused the delay to be more pronounced (he did not speak until he was 4). Thanks to the wonderful staff here, my son and daughter were able to learn other ways to communicate while working on their speech. My daughter was able to learn to better annunciate, and at 6, has almost perfected it. My son is seven and has recently had long speaking part in a school performance that was recited with mature diction.
