RecommendedThis review is coming from someone who has dentist anxiety due to past experiences with other dentists (in another state). The front desk staff is amazing, so nice and welcoming! Instantly felt more relaxed as they welcomed me into the office. Tidewater Dental Arts is nothing but exceptional! I am a dental assistant who has worked in offices all over Hampton roads as a temp- I originally only planned to work at TDA for 1 week as a temp but I loved working with this team so much I eventually was hired permanently full time. Today was my third visit with Tidewater Dental and it won’t be my last!! I walked into this appointment feeling so incredibly anxious. When I shared my concerns with Elizabeth she made me feel seen and heard. I so appreciate her and the time she took with me to help me feel at ease. When Dr. Stelmach came into the room, she made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that everything was okay! Thank you for making me feel seen and heard! I will continue to come back!

Today was the second time that I went to Tidewater Dental Arts and I am so pleased with my experience. Today I had quite a bit of work done. I was really anxious, and pretty much was in tears the entire time. Doctor Stelmach truly did make me feel like I was in great hands. At both visits she took her time with me, let me know what I needed done and make sure to ask if I had any questions. The women she has working for her are phenomenal. I will definitely be returning!! Thank you for taking care of me.
Dr. Schelmach is the most amazing dentist I've ever be even to, and that's saying a lot when it comes to dentists. She is compassionate, caring, doesn't rush and takes the time to make sure you fully understand what is going on. She has been quick to help in a few emergent situations and wasn't bothered at all by having to do and responds quicker then any other doctor I've ever come in contact with. So far all I know is the receptionist is very efficient.
After having a negative experience at another dentist's office I came to Tidewater Dental Arts. Dr. Stelmach was extremely kind and professional. I was treated with respect and services were done quickly. I will remain a patient and recommend to everyone :)
